At Lara And The Beat Premiere

As expected, who is who in the film, music and media industry in Nigeria, crowded into the Hotel Intercontinental Lagos for the premiere of the successful film of 2018 "Lara and the Beat".

The splendid event was a resounding night of fabulous fashion presentation and a fascinating music concert, taking notes of the key themes explored in the film: music, fashion and culture.

With about a week for the premiere of the film across the country on July 20, the cast and other members of the production team came out on the carpet to hint at the excitement that 'Lara and the rhythm' promises.

"We had a lot of fun on the set making this movie, and I'm particularly excited about the cultural elements that stand out in this movie," said Seyi Shay, who plays Lara Giwa in the film. "Music is a big part of this movie, and seeing how it merged perfectly with this production makes me really proud as a music artist."

As the director of the film, Seyi Shay, who plays the lead character, Lara Giwa, and Vector, who plays her love interest, Sal, they also have musical backgrounds, both are great music stars. Other cast members in the music industry include DJ Xclusive (who plays Jide) and Toni Tones (who plays Trish).

Lara and the Beat, produced by Tolu Olusoga, stars the award-winning heavyweights Nollywood Somkele Iyamah, Chioma Akpotha, Chinedu Ikedieze, Manuel Bimbo, Wale Ojo, Shaffy Bello, Uche Jombo, Lala Akindoju and Saidi Balogun.
